SUMMARY:Veteran's Day Parade
DESCRIPTION:We are looking forward to another great Veteran’s Day Parade put on by our Charter Organization the Daisy Mountain Veteran’s. \nThe parachute jump will be at 9:10 at the baseball fields on Gavalan Peak. Pleas plan on arriving by 9am so you don’t miss it. The street will be closed at some point so you may want to park either by Fry’s or at the Community Center. After the jump we will walk back to Cross of Christ to load up on the truck and trailer. Once you drop off your Scout and let Jen G. know where you will be meeting your Scout for pick up (either the Community Center or CCV parking lot)\, feel free to find a great parade spot and get your camera ready! \nScouts should all be in Class A uniforms and please have them bring a bottle of water. It is estimated to be a high of 87 tomorrow and the parade route is in full sun. Webelo’s will be able to walk the route with our flags and handing out flag stickers to kids along the route\, all other scouts will be in the truck bed or on the trailer. Leaders will be in Class A’s also walking along with the float and we will have one leader on the float itself with the boys. \nIt’s going to be another great parade!

SUMMARY:Veteran's Day Parade
DESCRIPTION:Anthem’s Annual Veteran’s Day parade! \nCome out and help our charter organization make this annual event a huge sucess! \nSaturday is the Daisy Mountain Veteran’s annual Veteran’s Day parade. As you know\, the Daisy Mountain Veteran’s are our sponsor\, and as such we participate in the parade with a truck and trailer. The boys LOVE this event and we all have so much fun celebrating our veterans. The boys should wear their Class A uniform’s and bring a water bottle with their name on it. \nThis year there is a parachute jump onto the baseball fields that are on Gavilan Peak Parkway at 9 AM. We will then walk to Cross of Christ church to hop onto our float. If you are planning on attending the parachute jump\, please plan to arrive around 8:45 AM. There will be several leaders there to help guide the Scouts and families back to Cross of Christ. If you would prefer to skip the parachute jump\, please plan to arrive at Cross of Christ church at 8:45 AM. At 9:00 AM the staging area will become very active bringing the trucks and trailers out onto Gavilan Peak Parkway\, so we want all of our Scouts on the trailer by then if they are not watching the parachute jump. There will be several leaders at Cross of Christ. The parade starts promptly at 10:00 AM. \nParking: street parking or park at the ACC if you plan to go to the parachute jump. The Fry’s parking lot if you wish to join us at Cross of Christ. Gavilan Peak between Daisy Mountain and Anthem Way will be CLOSED starting around 8am. So plan accordingly. \nThe parade route is 1.2 miles and ends at the ACC. Arrow of Light Webelos are allowed to walk the route\, and the rest of the boys must ride in the truck bed or trailer. You are welcome to grab a spot on the parade route and cheer for your Scout while they go by! You can pick up your Scout at the ACC or at Cross of Christ/CCV (back up if Gavilan Peak is still closed.) PLEASE LET YOUR DEN LEADER KNOW what your pick up plan is. \nPlease let your Den Leader or me know if you have any questions or concerns.
