Be Prepared

Scout Oath

On my honor I will do my best to do my duty to God and my country and to obey the Scout Law; to help other people at all times; to keep myself physically strong, mentally awake, and morally straight.

Scout Law

A Scout is trustworthy, loyal, helpful, friendly, courteous, kind, obedient, cheerful, thrifty, brave, clean, and reverent.

Our Mission

The mission of the Boy Scouts of America is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law.

Our Story

Who We Are

Cub Scout Pack and Boy Scout Troop 247 are the Anthem area’s longest serving Scouting Units. We are open to boys from Kindergarten – 12th grade, from any school or town in North Phoenix. We are part of the Pinnacle Peak District in the Grand Canyon Council and are chartered by the Daisy Mountain Veterans.

Our Troop and Pack leadership have a combined 200 years of leading scouting programs.

Our meetings are held on Tuesday nights at Cross of Christ Church in Anthem. Our Cub Scouts meet from 6 – 7 and Boy Scouts from 7 – 8:30.

Our goal is to foster the BSA vision of building our youth into conscientious, responsible, and productive boys by instilling in them lifetime values and developing ethical character traits as expressed in the Scout Oath and Law. We want to create an environment that fosters a sense of community while keeping the fun in scouting. As Baden Powell once said, we are building “Happy, Healthy, and Helpful Citizens.”
