This year we will be camping at the Usery Mountain Park at 3939 North Usery Pass Road in Mesa.
Group Camp areas A and B.
We would like you to plan to arrive around 2PM to begin setting up camp. Around 3 or 3:30 your Den Leader will have activities for you and your Scout until dinner. After dinner we will have a family friendly movie. The next morning we will have breakfast and then you are free to do as you choose, unless your Den Leader has expressed otherwise. I have attached our Pack Camping list as a guide for what you might want to bring for your family. Extra shoes and blankets are never a bad idea.
The most often asked questions I get from our new families are:
(A) can our younger/older child(ren) come too? YES! This is a campout for the entire family!
(B) Do we bring our own food? Only if you want to or if you have very unique dietary needs. We will supply dinner, dessert, and breakfast (yes, including coffee) along with water, juice boxes, and hot chocolate. This time we’re having hot dogs (regular and gluten free buns will be available), chili, chips, and the fixings for dinner, s’mores for dessert, and oatmeal, breakfast pastries, fruit, etc. for breakfast.
(C) Are there bathrooms? YES! All Cub Scout campouts are required to have bathrooms and running water.
